- Călţun Lake- 2151 m.(N45.5817° E24.5737°)walking 6 hours from Bâlea Lake and one hour to the top Negoiu! Călţun Peak, also known as, Călţun Horn is a mountain peak in Făgăraș Massif, considered sometimes a double peak with Lespezi peak with an altitude of 2510 m. It is recognized by its massiveness visible mainly from the north. At its foot is Călţun glacial lake and mountain refuge namesake, high in Avrig Rescue Division, Sibiu. Access point can be made on the south-west on a path that goes from Strunga Lady(one way). Călţun Lake is located about halfway between Negoiu cabin and chalet Bâlea Lac. It has an area of 200 square meters, with maximum depth of 11.8 m lake, steep wall hanging under the twin peaks Lespezi-Călţun seems forgotten by the world. Only the wind always blows here hissing sounds, friguroas even in the evening. Clear is over, it's somewhere down below us. Here we are in the kingdom of heaven, wind and clouds in the valley that ascends speed, change is running, it rolls over Lake permnanent then disappear drawn up like a lord over the ridge, Negoiu. - Lacul Călțun- 2151 m.(N45.5817° E24.5737°)este de mers pe jos de 6 ore de la Bâlea Lac si o ora spre vârful Negoiu! Vârful Călțun, cunoscut și ca, Cornul Călțun este un vârf muntos în Masivul Făgăraș, considerat uneori un vârf dublu împreună cu vârful Lespezi, având altitudinea de 2510 m. Este recunoscut prin masivitatea sa vizibilă cu precădere dinspre partea nordică. La poalele sale se află lacul glaciar Călțun, precum și refugiul montan omonim, ridicat de divizia de Salvamont din Avrig, județul Sibiu. Accesul pe vârf se poate face pe partea sud-vestică pe o potecă ce pleacă din strunga Doamnei(una din variante). Lacul Călţun se afla aproximativ la jumatatea drumului intre cabana Negoiu si cabana Bâlea Lac. Are o suprafata de 200 mp, cu adancime maxima de 11,8 m. Lacul, agăţat sub peretele abrupt al vârfurilor gemene Lespezi-Călţun, pare uitat de lume. Doar vântul care bate permanent aici se aude şuierând, friguroas chiar, spre seară. Seninul s-a terminat, e undeva jos, sub noi. Aici suntem în împărăţia cerului, vantului si al norilor ce urcă cu viteză din vale, se schimbă, se aleargă, se valatucesc permnanent deasupra lacului după care dispar în sus atraşi parcă de stăpânul de peste creastă, Negoiu. Dimineaţă, soare. In schimb ne dezmorţeşte o cafea fierbinte, şi ne face poftă să urcăm până în creastă. De sus, lacul pare ireal, agăţat printre grohotişuri, de zici că stă mai-mai să se verse. Lacul Călțun este un lac glaciar asezat in caldare Călțun in Muntii Făgăraș la nord-est de varful Negoiu, la altitudinea de 2135 m.
